연구실 소개
김태임 교수의 연구실은 망막 혈관질환, 특히 조기출생아의 망막병변인 선천성 망막증후군(ROP)의 위험인자 규명과 함께, 각막 수술 후 발생하는 환자 안구의 생체학적 변화를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 레이저 각막성형술(LASIK) 후 발생하는 고차원 시각 이상의 감소를 위한 웨이브프론트 가이드라인 수술 기법의 효과 분석과, 미토마이신 C(MMC)가 각막세포에 미치는 세포자멸사 영향에 대한 분자생물학적 메커니즘 규명에도 집중하고 있습니다. 또한 건성 안증후군 환자에서 각막 표면의 지질층 두께 및 눈물막 안정성과 관련된 생체지표 분석을 통해 눈물막 기능 이상의 원인을 규명하고자 합니다.

15To investigate the postnatal risk factors of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), we analysed demographic and clinical data abstracted from the medical records of 425 premature babies who were examined for ROP between January 1994 and December 1998 at Asan Medical Centre, Seoul, Korea. MMC is a potent inhibitor of corneal haze induced by PRK. MMC reduced the number of keratocytes and fibroblasts after PRK and UV-B irradiation.
