연구실 소개

오원근 교수의 연구실은 대사질환과 신경퇴행성질환의 예방 및 치료를 목표로, 자연물에서 유래한 생활화학적 활성성분의 기능과 메커니즘을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 인슐린 저항성, 비만, 당뇨병, 알츠하이머병 등 대사 및 신경질환과 관련된 핵심 타겟(PTP1B, Nrf2, ACC2 등)을 타겟으로 한 신약 후보 물질의 도출과 기전 해명을 진행하고 있습니다. 또한, 해조류 및 한방 약재에서 유래한 천연물 성분의 항산화, 항바이러스, 항염증 작용을 중심으로 기능성 소재 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.

As part of an ongoing study focused on the discovery of anti-influenza agents from plants, four new (1-4) and 10 known (5-14) C-methylated flavonoids were isolated from a methanol extract of Cleistocalyx operculatus buds using an influenza H1N1 neuraminidase inhibition assay. As part of our ongoing search for new antidiabetic agents from medicinal plants, we found that a methanol extract of Morinda citrifolia showed potential stimulatory effects on glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 adipocyte cells. Phytochemical study on a methanol-soluble extract of the leaves of persimmon (Diospyros kaki) resulted in the isolation of two new ursane-type triterpenoids, 3alpha,19alpha-dihydroxyurs-12,20(30)-dien-24,28-dioic acid (1) and 3alpha,19alpha-dihydroxyurs-12-en-24,28-dioic acid (2), together with 12 known ursane- and oleanane-type triterpenoids (3-14).
