연구실 소개
유영재 교수의 연구실은 자연어 처리와 딥러닝 기반 텍스트 분류 기술의 성능 향상을 목표로 합니다. 특히 주의 메커니즘(attention score)을 활용한 텍스트 증강 기법을 개발하여, 무작위 단어 교체가 아닌 의미적 고려를 바탕으로 한 정교한 텍스트 수정을 구현합니다. 이는 모델 학습에 필요한 데이터를 추가로 수집하지 않아도 되어 연구 비용을 절감할 수 있는 실용적인 솔루션을 제공합니다. 특히 순환 신경망과 컨볼루션 신경망 모두에서 뛰어난 성능 향상을 입증했습니다.

1To improve the performance of text classification, we propose text augmentation based on attention score (TABAS). We recognized that a criterion for selecting a replacement word rather than a random selection was necessary. Therefore, TABAS utilizes attention scores for text modification, processing only words with the same entity and part-of-speech tags to consider informational aspects.
