연구실 소개
최용성 교수의 연구실은 면역학적 조절 메커니즘과 신약 개발을 중심으로, 특히 타액선세포, 신경보호 작용을 가진 유기셀레늄 화합물, 그리고 조혈세포의 분화 조절을 위한 신호전달 분자에 대한 기초 및 응용 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 면역세포의 분화 과정에서의 CD27 발현 조절, 항산화 작용을 갖는 시스텔린 유도체의 신경보호 효과, 그리고 조혈세포의 조절 메커니즘을 이해하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한, 조산아의 폐기능 저하 및 장기질환과 관련된 생물학적 마커와의 연관성 연구도 진행 중입니다.

Selective N-acetylation of (1<i>S</i>,2<i>R</i>)-1-amino-2-indanol by immobilized lipase B from <i>Candida antarctica</i> showed high enantiomeric excess when ethyl acetate was used as the acyl donor in a THF solution. Combining this process with continuous-flow system, we could obtain enantiomerically pure <i>N</i>-acetyl-aminoindanol at a flow rate of 0.1 mL/min (residence time of 64 min). It has been demonstrated to be more efficient compared to the flask mode.
The physicochemical properties and antioxidant activity of a molecule could be improved by the substitution of an oxygen atom in a molecule with selenium. We synthesized selenoflavanones and flavanones to evaluate their neuroprotective effects.
