연구실 소개
이용섭 교수의 연구실은 자연물 화학과 합성 유기화학을 기반으로 하여, 생활물질에서 유래한 생리활성 성분의 구조 다양성과 기능 개선을 목표로 합니다. 특히 리그난, 코자산 衍생물, 그리고 N-아실이미늄 이온을 활용한 선택적 합성 반응을 통해 항암, 항염, 멜라닌 생성 억제 등 다양한 약리적 효과를 가진 신소재를 개발하고 있습니다. 또한, 효소 억제제 및 신약 후보 물질의 설계를 위한 고도화된 합성 전략 개발에 주력하고 있습니다.

15Lignans are a class of secondary plant metabolites produced by oxidative dimerization of two phenylpropanoid units. Kojic acid derivative 2 was synthesized by joining two pyrone rings through an ethylene linkage by Horner-Emmons reaction of phosphonate 6 with aldehyde 7. The intermediates 6 and 7 were derived from kojic acid. The tyrosinase inhibitory activity of 2 was about 8 times more potent (IC(50) = 3.63 microM) than that of kojic acid (IC(50) = 30.61 microM).
