15We report the synthesis of few-layered MoSe2 nanosheets using a facile hydrothermal method and their electrochemical charge storage behavior. A systematic study of the structure and morphology of the as-synthesized MoSe2 nanosheets was performed. The downward peak shift in the Raman spectrum and the high-resolution transmission electron microscopy images confirmed the formation of few-layered nanosheets. The electrochemical energy-storage behavior of MoSe2 nanosheets was also investigated for su
Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have been extensively evolved for the past two decades in order to improve their cell performance. From the commercialization point of view, the overall solar to electrical energy conversion efficiency should compete with other solar cells. But, due to structural restrictions of DSSC using the liquid electrolyte and a space requirement between two electrodes, the direct tandem construction of DSSCs by stacking of repeating units is highly limited. In this featu
Epidermal electronics are extensively explored as an important platform for future biomedical engineering. Epidermal devices are typically fabricated using high‐cost methods employing complex vacuum microfabrication processes, limiting their widespread potential in wearable electronics. Here, a low‐cost, solution‐based approach using electroconductive reduced graphene oxide (RGO) sheets on elastic and porous poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) thin films for multifunctional, high‐performance, graphene
In the present study, molybdenum diselenide/reduced graphene oxide (MoSe2/rGO) nanosheets were synthesized via a facile hydrothermal process and the electrochemical performance of the nanosheets was evaluated for supercapacitor applications. The MoSe2 nanosheets were uniformly distributed on the surface of the rGO matrix. The MoSe2/rGO nanosheet electrode exhibited an enhanced specific capacitance (211 F g(-1)) with excellent cycling stability, compared with pristine MoSe2. The enhanced electroc
We report the preparation of highly interconnected ordered mesoporous carbon-carbon nanotube nanocomposites which show Pt-like dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) efficiency and remarkable long-term durability as DSSC counter electrodes.
Organometallic halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have unique photovoltaic properties for use in next-generation solar energy harvesting systems. The highest efficiency of PSCs reached 22.1% on a laboratory scale of <0.1 cm2 device area. Thus, scaling up is the next step toward commercialization, but the difficulty in controlling the quality of large-area perovskite thin films remains a fundamental challenge. It has also been frequently reported that the J- V hysteresis is intensifi
Flexible perovskite solar cells have been developed on a metal substrate using a silver thin film as the top electrode.
Flexible perovskite solar cells (FPSCs) have various applications such as wearable electronic textiles and portable devices. In this work, we demonstrate FPSCs on a titanium metal substrate employing solution-processed silver nanowires (Ag NWs) as the top electrode. The Ag NW electrodes were deposited on top of the spiro-MeOTAD hole transport layer by a carefully controlled spray-coating method at moderate temperatures. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) reached 7.45 % under AM 1.5 100 mW cm(
A step towards commercialization of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) requires more attention to engineering aspects, such as flexibility, the roll to roll fabrication process, the use of cost effective materials, etc. In this aspect, advantages of flexible DSSCs attracted many researchers to contemplate the transparent conducting oxide coated flexible plastic substrates and the thin metallic foils. In this feature article, the pros and cons of these two kinds of substrates are compared. The fl
The tubular-shaped nanostructure of TiO(2) is very interesting, and highly ordered arrays of TiO(2) nanotubes (TNTs) can be easily fabricated by anodization of the Ti substrate in specific electrolytes. Here in this feature article, we review synthesis methods for various TNTs including normal, alloy, and architectural forms such as bamboos, lace, and flowers. Specific nanosize architectures such as bamboo and lace types can be regulated by alternating voltage and further anodizing. In order to
High surface area MoS2 sponge electrodes were synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method followed by a freeze drying process and showed high specific capacitance and better charge storage behavior.

Flexible perovskite solar cells were fabricated on a Ti metal substrate using Ag embedded ITO as the top electrode.
The formation of alkanethiol (H-(CH2)n-SH, n = 8-18) and 1,8-octanedithiol (HS-(CH2)8-SH) monolayer films on n-type GaAs(001) has been systematically studied. We observed a nonlinear dependence of the film thickness on molecular length, which is drastically different from monolayer films of the same molecules on metals. For 8 < or = n < or = 14, the films are only 3-4.5 A thick, significantly smaller than the corresponding molecular length. For n = 16 and 18, the measured film thicknesses were 9
