연구실 소개
백유상 교수의 연구실은 감염성 질환의 생물학적 기전과 임상적 경과를 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 특히 병원성 박테리아의 항생제 내성 변화와 자가면역질환의 임상적 특성에 대한 장기적 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 다빈도의 감염성 질환, 예를 들어 스타피로코쿠스 아우레우스에 의한 피부감염에서의 메티실린내성 등장률 분석과 함께, 루푸스 에리테마토데스 등 희귀 자가면역질환의 유병률 및 진행 양상에 대한 대규모 인구기반 연구도 수행하고 있습니다. 또한 의료 종사자, 특히 치과학생의 정신건강과 직무 만족도 문제에 대해서도 심층적인 분석을 통해 의료 인력의 지속 가능성에 기여하고자 합니다.

Burnout and depression levels among dental students in Korea were relatively high and intercorrelated. Burnout level was significantly associated with high academic workload. Students experiencing burnout were likely to be dissatisfied with their education programs and likely to need counseling.
Although lupus erythematosus is known to be more common among women of color, the study populations in previous reports were predominantly Caucasian and there is scarce information on Asian patients.
