연구실 소개

윤창환 교수의 연구실은 심혈관계 질환, 특히 심부전과 이 schemia 관련 혈관 형성 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 혈관 내피줄기세포와 그 기원, 기능, 그리고 혈관신생 과정에서의 상호작용을 분자생물학적·세포생물학적 방법으로 규명하고 있으며, 당뇨병에 의한 미소혈관병변에서 Notch 신호전달 경로의 역할도 탐구하고 있습니다. 이와 더불어 심장 기능 평가 및 세포치료 전략의 임상적 적용 가능성에 대해서도 연구를 확장하고 있습니다.

BACKGROUND: Cell therapy is a promising option to improve functional recovery after ischemia. Several subsets of bone marrow-derived cells were shown to reduce infarct size and increase ejection fraction in experimental models of ischemia. An elevation in the BNP level is determined by the functional status of the right and left ventricles in patients with isolated, severe TR.
