연구실 소개
김영서 교수의 연구실은 주로 생체분자의 생리적 기능과 병리적 변화를 밝혀내는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 특히 당뇨, 뇌졸중, 암 등 만성질환과 관련된 생화학적 메커니즘을 탐구하고 있습니다. 고분자 생물학과 생물물리화학적 기법을 접목해 단백질, 점액질, 효소의 기능적 특성과 관련된 기전을 규명하고 있으며, 특히 스타링, 점액질 MUC3/MUC4, MMP-9 등의 분자적 역할에 대한 연구가 두드러집니다. 이와 더불어, 뇌졸중 환자의 조기 진료 지연 원인 분석 및 국민 대상의 뇌졸중 인식도 평가를 통해 임상적 응용가능성을 확장하고 있습니다.
