연구실 소개

이영석 교수의 연구실은 유전체 시뮬레이션 기반의 가짜 유전자 데이터베이스를 개발하여, 실제 유전체 데이터의 한계를 보완하고자 합니다. 주로 스테비아, 코모도 드래곤, 스완 게이 등 다양한 생물의 유전자 변이를 가상으로 구축하며, 이를 바탕으로 유전체학적 분석 기법의 유효성과 정확도를 평가합니다. 특히, dbSNP와 비교 가능한 품질의 유사 데이터베이스를 설계함으로써, 생물정보학 및 유전체 연구의 기초를 다지는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.
