연구실 소개

손요환 교수의 연구실은 산림 생태계의 영양소 순환과 탄소 순환 메커니즘을 중심으로, 비료 적용, 갈림 처리, 석회 처리 등 산림 관리 조치가 토양 생물학적 활성과 생태계 기능에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 특히 비동맹성 질소 고정, 토양 미생물 생물량 및 효소 활성, 탄소 배출 등 산림 생태계의 기초 생태 과정을 다각도로 분석하며, 기후 변화 대응 및 지속 가능한 산림 관리 전략 개발에 기여하고 있습니다. 연구는 온대 산림을 중심으로 국내외 다양한 산림 생태계에서 수행되고 있습니다.
