연구실 소개

이 교수의 연구실은 환경오염물질, 특히 내구성 유기오염물질(POPs)이 만성질환, 특히 비만과 제2형 당뇨병에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 지방세포가 POPs를 저장함으로써 다른 중요한 장기로부터의 독성 영향을 줄일 수 있다는 '지방세포 보호 기전'에 초점을 맞추며, 특히 인슐린 분비 기능 저하와 관련된 환경독소의 역할을 분자 및 임상 수준에서 규명하고자 합니다. 또한 기후변화에 따른 해수면 상승 대비 해안지역의 적응 전략에 대해서도 다각도의 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.
