Purpose: Pembrolizumab is currently used to treat advanced triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and high-risk early TNBC with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). The tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) level and programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD L1) status are predictors of response to NAC and immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment. We aimed to investigate whether the PD-L1 status in core needle biopsies (CNBs) could represent the whole tumor in TNBC. Materials and Methods: A total of 49 patients di

차윤진, 구자승, 양우익, 박세호

Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD) can present in any anatomic site, but breast involvement is rarely reported. Recently, a relationship between RDD and IgG4-related sclerosing disease has been suggested. Here we report another case of RDD with overlapping features of IgG4-related sclerosing disease occurring in a right breast of a 62-year-old female. On microscopic examination, the mass demonstrated a characteristic zonal pattern of proliferation of large polygonal histiocytes and lymphoplasma cells w

Syphilis is a rare disease in the rectum. It is difficult to diagnose because the characteristics of the rectal syphilis rectal lesion are highly varied. The endoscopic findings of rectal syphilis are proctitis, ulcers, and masses. If rectal syphilis is suspected to be the cause for rectal lesions, it is important for physicians to consider the sexual history and sexual orientation of the patient. We report a case of incidental rectal syphilis in a 41-year-old man diagnosed during a regular medi

Clinicopathological Characteristics of NRG1 Fusion-Positive Solid Tumors in Korean Patients
차윤진, 이청, 주비오, 김경아, 이충근, 심효섭

Purpose Neuregulin 1 (NRG1) gene fusion is a potentially actionable oncogenic driver. The oncoprotein binds to ERBB3-ERBB2 heterodimers and activates downstream signaling, supporting a therapeutic approach for inhibiting ERBB3/ERBB2. However, the frequency and clinicopathological features of solid tumors harboring NRG1 fusions in Korean patients remain largely unknown. Materials and Methods We reviewed archival data from next-generation sequencing panel tests conducted at a single institution, s

Abstract Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), which accounts for 15–20% of breast cancers, is characterized by rapid proliferation and oncogenic pathway activation, creating a permissive environment for oncolytic virus replication. JX-594 (pexastimogene devacirepvec) is a genetically engineered vaccinia virus in which the thymidine kinase gene is replaced with human GM-CSF, enabling selective tumor replication and immune activation. Our in vitro studies demonstrated high sensitivity of TNBC cel
