연구실 소개

권유주 교수의 연구실은 항생제 내성 박테리아 및 병원성 곰팡이 등 미생물 감염에 대응하기 위한 천연물 유래 신약 후보 물질의 탐색과 기전 규명을 핵심 연구 분야로 삼고 있습니다. 특히, 에놀-아실 캐리어 단백질 재조합효소(InhA, FabI, FabK 등)를 표적으로 하는 새로운 항균제 개발과 함께, 꿀벌의 병원성 곰팡이인 Ascosphaera apis에 대한 천연물의 항진균 작용을 규명하고 있습니다. 또한 열상 손상 후 간 기능 이상의 병리학적 변화를 실험적으로 분석하여 손상 후 간 손상 메커니즘을 규명하고 있습니다.

In the continued search for inhibitors of enoyl-acyl carrier protein (ACP) reductase, we found that four acylbenzenediol sulfate metabolites from Streptomyces sp. Honey bees are important pollinators in agriculture, but are threatened by the pathogen Ascosphaera apis , which causes chalkbrood. Despite attempts to control this fungus using synthetic fungicides, none of them have been proven to be completely effective.
