연구실 소개

강윤배 교수의 연구실은 철강 소재의 첨단 제조 공정과 품질 제어를 위한 열역학적 기반의 분석 및 최적화를 핵심으로 한다. 주로 Mn, Si, Ti, Al, Ca 등 다양한 산화물이 포함된 철강 내부의 불순물 상(인클루전)과 그 상호작용 메커니즘을 열역학적 계산(CALPHAD) 및 실험을 융합하여 규명한다. 특히, 인클루전의 조성과 상행동이 피-강의 미세구조 및 공정 문제(예: 센 캠핑)에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석함으로써 고강도·저탄소 철강의 설계 및 제조 공정 개선에 기여한다. 고온에서의 상평형, 용융산화물 슬래그 내의 용해 거동, 그리고 나노미터 크기의 산화물 입자 행동까지 다각도로 연구하고 있다.

Inclusions chemistry of Mn/Si deoxidized steel was studied through both thermodynamic computation and experimental method. The computational thermodynamics has proved to provide a powerful tool for controlling inclusions and precipitates in steel. The dissolution of amorphous SiO 2 particles in CaO – Al 2 O 3 – SiO 2 slags was investigated at 1450°C by high‐temperature confocal scanning laser microscopy ( HT ‐ CSLM ) and thermodynamic/kinetic analyses.
