연구실 소개

이 교수의 연구실은 화학적 전환 기반의 지속 가능한 화학공정을 핵심으로 삼고 있습니다. 특히 5-하이드록시메틸 푸라날리하이드(5-HMF)를 고효율으로 수소화하여 바이오디젤로 응용 가능한 2,5-비스(알코키메틸)퓨라논(BAMFs)을 합성하는 촉매 공정 개발에 주력하고 있으며, 이와 연계해 항산화 펩타이드-페놀 화합물의 합성 및 기능성 개선 연구도 진행하고 있습니다. 또한 반도체 회로의 고속 시뮬레이션 기술인 다지연기반 병렬(MDP) 알고리즘에 대한 소프트웨어적 응용 연구를 통해 응용분야를 확장하고 있습니다.

5-Hydroxymethyl-2-furaldehyde (HMF) was hydrogenated to 2,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)furan (BHMF) in various n-alcohol solvents with more than 99% yield using Ru(OH) x /ZrO2 catalyst. The BHMF in the same solvents was subsequently etherified to give 2,5-bis(alkoxymethyl)furans (BAMFs, four examples) as potential biodiesels with moderate to good yields using Amberlyst-15.

We isolated a Saccharomyces cerevisiae mutant, CH108, which shows hypersensitivity to cycloheximide, bleomycin, actinomycin D, 5-fluorouracil, and several other antibiotics. NIR-sensitive SERS nanoprobes are fabricated by J.-H. Kim, H.-Y. Lee, D. H. Jeong, Y.-S. Lee and co-workers, who form hollow plasmonic Au/Ag shells, assembled on the surface of a silica nanosphere.
